FOR ex-Wolves player Graham Ward, it was particularly satisfying to do so well against a club that did not consider him good enough for their first team.

Ward, desperate to prove a point to his former employers, pulled no punches when he said: "Everybody is gutted as we should have beaten them. There's no ifs or buts about it. We were the better team.

"They were panicking at one point and just whacking the ball out into the crowd. I was surprised as we were passing the ball well and I just thought Wolves were poor.

"They are all Premiership players and should beat you but they found it hard. I just think we wanted it more than they did.

"Still, it will be great to go back for the replay. Wolves are a great club and I'm really looking forward to it.

"We have come so close, yet so far. But it was great to play in my first FA Cup tie and if they're all like that, then I'll be a happy man!"
