BROMSGROVE Rovers are likely to be without Danny Scheppel and Richard Tomkins for this Saturday's Dr Martens Western visit of Cirencester Town.

Scheppel, who also missed last Saturday's 2-1 victory over Sutton Coldfield, has a knee injury while Tomkins, substituted by Mark Benbow in that match, has bruised ribs.

Benbow could well come into the side to face sixth place Cirencester, a match boss George Rooney believes is even more crucial than the top of the table clash with Sutton.

"I think this is probably bigger than last Saturday. I know their players and their manager and they are a side to be reckoned with.

"Last Saturday was a very important victory. There were pockets of pressure we were under and they were very uncompromising. That was a big game and we had two chances to go in at half time 3-1 up."

Rovers have also signed Birmingham City youth midfielder Mark Allen on a month's loan. Allen, aged 19, has just come through the Premiership side's academy.

"He's a good player and he can score a goal and we are giving him the match practise he desperately needs," Rooney added.
