GOAL-SCORER Adam Murray saw troubled Darlington hit back with a late equaliser and then admitted Division Three had got much tougher.

He scored seven goals in 13 games in a loan spell at Mansfield when they clinched promotion from the division in 2002.

But Murray, 22, believes the competition is a different prospect now, though he looks like making a major impact after finding the net in only his second match since his permanent move.

The midfielder said: "The main thing I've noticed is it's so quick now in this division, the tempo of the game is so fast. You don't have time on the ball.

"I've always felt comfortable at Kidderminster, it's never been a worry, so settling in hasn't really been a problem for me. My main worry has not been fitness but the football side of it.

"I'm a bit rusty. But once I've got a consecutive run of five or six games in, hopefully I'll be back to top form.

"It's nice just to be back playing again and to get a goal was a bonus. The end result was rubbish but if you don't take your chances and defend poorly, you get punished for it.

"We said before the game not to give stupid free-kicks away but we did and conceded from it.

"It's always a blow to concede a goal so late on, especially when we should have won the game easily. We could have had four or five goals if we had taken our chances.

"The gaffer told us to shoot on target so every time I got a chance I had a shot. I just wish one of those other shots had gone in though because I could have had six or seven goals today with the number I had.

"But we have to look at the positives. We haven't lost though it feels like we have."
