ADRIAN Viveash intends to help steer Kidderminster Harriers clear of the Division Three drop zone before he returns to fight for his place at Swindon Town.

The commanding centre-half is still in Swindon boss Andy King's long-term plans but needs games so he jumped at the chance of a month's loan at Aggborough.

Viveash, who lost his place at the County Ground in October due to injury and a personal issue, has looked rock solid with Harriers recording two Division Three wins in a row.

The 34-year-old said: "My career has been full of challenges and this is as big as any I have faced.

"Kidderminster needed someone with a bit of experience to talk to the younger players in the team, keep things calm and everyone switched on.

"Hopefully, when I go back the team will be safe from relegation which would be a great achievement.

"It's been a fantastic week. I don't know most of the players here but I have been pleasantly surprised.

"They've worked extremely hard in the two games I've been here and there is a fair bit of talent out there."

Viveash, who revealed Harriers director of football Jan Molby had been a hero of his as a Liverpool fan, is under no illusions of the task presented by Division Three.

He admitted: "It is like a boxing match for 90 minutes. That's what I believe this year and last year when I was on loan at Oxford. It's physical and a fight. You have to earn the right to play but if they can do that the lads can do very well.

"We produced some fantastic passing moves against York. Last year I was at Oxford, who are a strong team, but it's nice to see the likes of Huddersfield, Hull and Torquay playing good football as well.

"I didn't have a first-team game for four months but still feel very fit even at 34. Age is just a number. You have to work in partnerships though and you don't achieve anything with a team of oldies or a team of youngsters."
