FORMER Bromsgrove Rovers player Bob Beechey has died aged 57.
Mr Beechey passed away in Poole, Dorset, last month. Bob began his career at the Victoria Ground, playing half of the 1962/63 season before joining Wolverhampton Wanderers aged 16. Educated in Catshill, he later played for Bolton, following his uncle and fellow Rovers star Roy Hartle. His funeral was at Worcester Crematorium on Tuesday, January 6.
