COACHES John Brain and Andy Keast are demanding a performance from Worcester Rugby Club's under-achievers.

The Sixways management duo watched on in horror during Worcester's weekend win at Otley and have made their views clear to the squad this week.

They go into Saturday's home clash with Orrell (3pm) desperate to see some hunger and desire which seemed strangely absent from the performance at Cross Green.

"We are demanding a better performance," said coach Keast. "It just wasn't good enough at Otley and the players are well aware of that.

"We couldn't have started the season in a worse fashion. However, we know how good this team is and they will perform better against Orrell."

"We've had frank and honest two-way communication," added director of rugby Brain. "The players know they have to perform on Saturday because they won't get out of jail again against this team."

Ben Hinshelwood will cap a wonderful week by starting his first Worcester game for nine months. The centre, who broke his leg in January, takes his place in the side after a week in which he made Scotland's World Cup squad.

Worcester make four changes from the team that spluttered to victory at Otley with Chris Hall paying the price for his red card. The hooker was dismissed for punching at Cross Green and Ben Daly will take his place.

"Chris lost his discipline and that cost the team," said Brain. "He'll be on the bench where he can reflect long and hard on what he did. Ben is a physical player and we will need that against Orrell."

Gary Trueman returns in place of Duncan Murray at inside centre after recovering from a back problem, while Craig Gillies comes into the second row following Dan Zaltzman's rib cartilage injury.

Drew Hickey had looked to be out of contention for the match against his former club but will have a late fitness test to see if he can take his place on the bench. David Officer is out with a hamstring tear, while Nnamdi Ezulike is still recovering from knee surgery.
