ROVERS were dumped out of the competiton as they were found wanting against the sheer exuberance of a youthful Wolves side.
Although they showed plenty of commitment the home side had little answer to the pace they had to face.
Two glaring errors by goalkeeper Paul Wyatt, which gifted Wolves their first and last goals, simply piled on the misery.
It was an uphill struggle from the moment Wyatt miscued a ninth minute clearance to Clarke who chipped in the return. Watson (35min), Jones (55) and Mulligan (74 and 80) completed the rout.
Rovers' best effort was a late header from Sutton - tipped over the bar by Hennessey.
