MANAGER Ian Britton says he fully understands the frustration Kidderminster Harriers fans are going thr-ough during the Nationwide League Division Three side's current dismal run of results.

After winning their opening two league games of the season Harriers have now gone seven matches without a win.

The worrying sequence has set the alarm bells off at Aggborough where supporters are becoming increasingly concerned about the way the side are struggling in their fourth season in the Football League.

The club's official website acknowledges that Britton is preparing for the 'toughest period in his managerial career' following Saturday's disappointing 2-1 home defeat against Lincoln City.

It has left his side fourth from bottom having collected just two points out of a possible 21 during their recent slide.

Britton, however, insists he and the players will be pulling out all the stops in a bid to find a winning formula. He said: "I understand the crowds frustrations at our recent form, but believe me nobody is more disappointed than me.

"Even after our opening two wins I publicly said there were a few underlying problems on the pitch that would need to be resolved. The results hid those problems, which is why I have brought players in to try and improve the squad

"As I have said time and time again, we have a good squad here that is letting themselves down by continually committing silly mistakes. If we can put a stop to this happening on a regular basis, then our results will improve.

"I am frustrated by what has been going on but the only way we can correct these problems is to continue working hard and to start grinding out results."

After two successive home defeats against Scunthorpe and Lincoln, Harriers now face a difficult test to prise badly needed points out of their next two matches which are away against Hull City on Saturday and Huddersfield Town a week tonight.
