WORCESTER Rugby Club could be set for a sixth round clash with Pertemps Bees in the Powergen Cup.

The two Midland sides, who occupy the top two places in National One, have been potentially drawn together for a sixth round match on November 15.

The Sixways club, due to meet Exeter Chiefs in the fourth round on October 18, look set to travel to Wakefield in round five after the draw was made yesterday.

If the Warriors come through that and the Bees, formerly known as Birmingham/Solihull, make their way to the sixth round, it would set up an intriguing game at Sharmans Cross Road.

"It's not the most attractive fixture," said director of rugby John Brain. "I think we would have preferred a Premiership team at home in the sixth round. But there is a lot of water to go under the bridge before we can think about the fifth or sixth round.

"If we manage to get past Exeter then we will be playing Wakefield two weeks in succession after playing them in the league at Sixways. However, the league is our priority this season."

Round five draw: Wakefield/Esher v Worcester/Exeter.

Round six: Launceston/Waterloo/Wharfedale/ Pertemps Bees v Wakefield/Esher/Worcester/ Exeter.

Meanwhile, Worcester have urged season ticket holders to book their seats early ahead of next weekend's Exeter clash.

Ticket prices are the same for a normal league match and debenture, gold and blue season ticket holders and patron members will have until Sunday to reserve their seats. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday.

Under Rugby Football Union rules, Powergen Cup matches are all pay and normal passes and tickets do not apply.
