CHRIS Garrard is one of the stars set to play in Monday night's United match at Sixways.

The winger, who has lost his place in the first team following the form of newcomer Wes Davies, will be one of a host of first teamers in the match with Oxford University (7.15pm).

David Officer may also make his long awaited comeback at centre after recovering from a hamstring injury. Officer has not played since the opening day win at Otley last month and will be eager to build up his fitness with fellow centre Ben Hinshelwood away on World Cup duty.

New signing Jon Hylton should also get a run out after being named on the bench for today's first team outing at Manchester. Duncan Murray - also in today's 22 - could figure while Jon Higgins will hope to shine at fly half.

In the pack, new signing Lee Fortey will start while Chris Hall and Neil Mason will be looking to impress ahead of next weekend's Powergen Cup fourth round clash with Exeter Chiefs at Sixways.

Meanwhile, coach Andy Keast believes centre Gary Trueman still has some way to go before he fulfils his potential.

"He didn't score enough tries last season," said Keast. "It became a bit of a running joke within the squad. Certainly he's made a good start to the season as regards tries but he's got a long way to go before he fulfils that potential.

"Gary knows he's got to keep improving. He's got a lot of work to do yet. To be fair to him though, he also makes a lot of tries. He's not just a scorer.

"When we talk about his potential, I would say he's still got a long way to go yet. The key is for him to keep working hard."
