JAN Molby is today putting his Kidderminster Harriers players through their paces at Lilleshall in preparation for their forthcoming relegation battle.

The Aggborough troops also used the National Sports Centre facilities yesterday in a change to their regular routine.

After going seven Nationwide League Division Three matches without a win Molby admits that shot-shy Harriers are facing a major fight to avoid the dreaded drop.

They are currently one point away from the relegation area and in danger of slipping to third from bottom if fellow strugglers Darlington win or draw at home against Northampton Town tonight.

The two-day Lilleshall schedule has comprised training in the mornings with work on set-pieces in the afternoons. Harriers media manager Steve Thomas said: "It's a nice place and the pitches are good. It allows the players the chance to get together and re-group."

With a number of changes to the playing staff recently it is hoped the Lilleshall experience will prove beneficial, particularly as they have a tough programme ahead of them starting with a clash against Swansea City at Aggborough on Saturday.

Among the recent players to join the relegation battle are Aggborough 'old boys' Ian Foster and Abdou Sall together with Dean Keates from Hull City.

Midfielder Keates, who has just signed an 18- month contract, is delighted to be part of the Kidderminster set-up and determined to play a major role is the club's relegation dog-fight.

The 25-year-old said of his move: "It brings me back to my roots. Being a Walsall boy it's not too far down the road from where I grew up. Kidderminster is a lovely little set-up and it's a great family club with a great bunch of supporters."

Twenty-seven year-old Foster, who still lives in Kidderminster following his first stint at Aggborough, said: "Jan knows what I can do and I know how he wants things done, so it is easy enough in that sense.

"I have just got to get as fit as possible, prove that I can play in the Third Division and show I can do a job for Kidderminster by chipping in with a few good performances."
