DREW Hickey continued his rapid rise in a Worcester shirt with another man of the match display against Wakefield.

The number eight shone in the 46-15 victory which underlined his growing presence in a Warriors outfit.

"Drew was one of the players on the field that actually performed consistently for 80 minutes," said coach Andy Keast.

"He worked extremely hard and was very impressive for 80 minutes. He's settling in very well now and certainly his recent performances have been very encouraging."

Hickey was delighted with his two tries and the first half display but was disappointed with the second period which produced just 10 points.

"I definitely enjoyed the two tries and the first half," he said. "We tended to let it wane a bit in the second half which is disappointing but it was a good first 40.

"Funnily enough, though, we took a lot out of that second half and learnt an awful lot about Wakefield. That will hold us in good stead for next weekend when we play them in the cup.

"It reminded us about the determination that Wakefield have and that they are not a bad side."
