JOHN Brain has revealed he is under no financial pressure to keep Adrian Olver at Gloucester.

Worcester's director of rugby sent Olver on loan to Kingsholm last month in order for the prop to get some much-needed game time.

However, the dual benefit for Worcester is that the Premiership club have to pay a proportion of his wages during that loan period.

Brain admits that though the arrangement suits everyone at present, if Olver was needed back at Sixways he would have no hesitation in recalling him.

"There is no financial pressure on me," said Brain. "The arrangement is good for Worcester in that Adrian gets some game time and obviously financially it makes sense.

"We felt that with Tom Warren coming through from the academy and Mark Hansen also available then it was a good deal for everyone.

"That doesn't mean, however, that if we needed Adrian back then we wouldn't act. The playing side of things comes first here and that is the priority."

Meanwhile, Worcester's injury crisis looks like biting deep into their playing squad for Saturday's Powergen Cup at Wakefield.

Duncan Roke is definitely out of the fifth round clash while Daren O'Leary has been struggling with a dead leg.

With a number of players also nursing injuries such as Tommy Hayes, Gary Trueman, Ben Daly and Gavin Pfister, Worcester may be forced to field a weakened side at College Grove.

Another Worcester absentee - Ben Hinshelwood - has reclaimed his place in the Scotland squad for Saturday's all important Pool B clash with Fiji in Sydney.

The Sixways star back wasn't involved in Scotland's heavy defeat to France last weekend but is on the bench for the must-win match.

If Scotland lose, they will be eliminated from the tournament and that could give Worcester a huge lift with Hinshelwood possibly back for their National One clash with Henley on November 8.
