COLWALL Players held a very successful annual fun quiz last Friday evening at Colwall Village Hall when 16 teams took part. The quiz master was Steve Hockett, who also set the questions.

The bird survey group walk will meet at Station Road at 9.30am on Saturday, March 27.

Darby and Joan Club are holding a coffee morning at Chevenham on Saturday, March 27, from 10am. There will be numerous stalls. Admission is 50p to include refreshments. Proceeds in aid of club funds.

Colwall Cricket Club is holding a treasure hunt (approximately 24 miles) starting at 1pm from the Cricket Club on Saturday, March 27. Adults £3 and £1 per child, which includes a chilli meal on return. Contact Alistair Smith on (01684) 563047 or Keith Holland on (01684) 577594 for details.

Anyone who wishes to donate a lily in memory of a loved one at St James Church this Easter please contact the rectory office on (01684) 540330. The lilies will cost £3 each.

Wanted men to take part in the Mystery Plays at St James Church, Colwall. The plays, which are going to be performed at the end of June and beginning of July in and around the church, are short of men. The plays, which were first performed in Colwall ten years ago, sold 1,000 seats over a two week run and even attracted the attention of an American television company.
