TWO goals for Chris Hough and Ervine McMahon's fourth in five matches eased Bewdley Town to a 6-0 victory over Leominster on Saturday.

Following their 3-0 win at Ludlow Town Reserves last Wednesday, Bewdley continued their rise up the West Midlands League Division One South table.

Matt Allsopp was in the Bewdley line-up for the first time this season and 16-year-old Oliver Lawley made his debut as a substitute for his dad, John.

Setting their stall out early on, Bewdley's Steve Holt saw his shot cleared off the line by Leominster in the sixth minute and Ben McCloughlan fired just wide.

The hosts went ahead two minutes before half-time when McMahon laid the ball off for Hough to make no mistake from 20 yards.

Hough added his second into an empty net from six yards after a move involving McMahon and Keith Elliot to give Bewdley a 2-0 lead at the interval.

Holt battled his way past three defenders to fire home in the 51st minute and then provided Elliot with the fourth goal.

Hough's chance of a hat-trick was denied by a double save from keeper Kevin Jones.

But great work by Hough in the 82nd minute put McCloughlan through and he passed for captain Neil Turford to score.

In the 88th minute Holt's corner fell to McMahon who sealed Leominster's fate.

Bewdley's defence of Dale Evans, John Hardiman, Lawley and Turford rarely gave Leominster any opportunities.

The midweek Ludlow win was thanks to goals from Hough (two) and McMahon.

Bewdley's players are asked to meet at the Waggon and Horses pub at 12.15pm on Saturday for the visit to Goodrich.
