TICKETS are selling fast for the second annual rock festival to be held at Kidderminster Town Hall and organisers are predicting sell-out success.

Mighty Atom Smasher records' development director, Kim Tanser, advised music lovers to hurry up if they wanted to get hands on tickets for Disobey, on Friday, March 12.

The concert, which starts at 6.30pm, features the cream of Wyre Forest rock bands, including Weak 13, Oak and Komanchi Tribe, as well as Girls Love Ponies, Groove Sadistic, Future eX-Wife and Darkness tribute band, The Lightness.

Stourbridge-based band Godsize - who are managed by 23-year-old former Kidderminster College music industry management student, Bek Cross, and have played in 3,000-seater venues with the likes of Anthrax and One Minute Silence - are also performing at the gig in aid of the Kidderminster War Memorial Conservation Trust.

"It's going really well - the tickets are selling well and there is quite a buzz going on," Ms Tanser said.

"The bands are all looking forward to it and we're expecting a sell-out because we sold out last year and we reckon it will this year too - so people need to get their tickets quickly."

More information and tickets on the festival, which runs until 11.30pm, can be obtained from Kidderminster Town Hall on 01562 732158.
