MEMBERS of the Galleon Acoustic Club are set for a nostalgic evening as they prepare for their second-to-last gig by two top guitarists.
British folk music legend John Renbourn is performing at the Stourport Boat Club-based club alongside Incredible String Band player Robin Williamson on Sunday.
The club's creator Mike Smith, who announced last month it was due to close because of financial pressures and poor attendance, said: "John Renbourn is like the father of acoustic guitar playing.
"He single-handedly represents the revival of British folk and blues music which started in the late 1960s."
The music teacher, who also runs Kidderminster music shop Muzo's, said: "These artistes and Lindisfarne are probably the most well-known people we've had."
Lindisfarne are playing on Sunday, May 2.
