A PEST who was banned from contacting Lady Rosalthe Rundall has been bothering her again, Cheltenham magistrates were told last Thursday.

Last August, Stephen Adamson, aged 42, of Bridgeman's Close, Broadway, was ordered not to contact solicitor's wife Lady Rosalthe after he had plagued her with phone calls and letters.

But Adamson was back before the court to admit that he had breached the two-year restraining order imposed on him last summer.

Adamson's campaign of harassment of Lady Rosalthe at her home in Aston Subedge began after she refused to give him a cleaning job at her home.

The wife of Francis Rundall, a partner in leading City of London legal firm Charles Russell, Lady Rosalthe eventually called police because of Adamson's relentless harassment.

Adamson claimed that he believed Lady Rosalthe wanted to pursue a friendship with him. But, he was convicted of harassment and the order was made.

Last Thursday, prosecutor Theresa Perry told how between February 8 and 22 this year Adamson had sent Lady Rosalthe a recorded delivery letter containing documents from a firm of solicitors which he claimed had agreed to support an action against her for defamation.

During this period, Miss Perry said, he also posted up similar documents making reference to Lady Rosalthe on a public noticeboard in Broadway.

Adamson admitted the fresh offences and was bailed until April 8 for sentencing.
