CIVIL SERVICE RETIREMENT FELLOWSHIP: Twenty-seven members attended the first meeting of the new year which started with coffee and biscuits after which Mrs Ann Innes, chairman, opened the meeting.
The treasurer gave a satisfactory report regarding the group's financial position.
There being no other business to discuss the chairman went on to say she would be standing down at the AGM as would the social secretary and two committee members. The group is therefore looking for volunteers to fill these positions so that the monthly meetings are able to continue.
Miss Ann Saunders gave an excellent an illustrated talk about the Pasadena Region of South America
The group's next meeting is the AGM and will take place next Tuesday at 10.30am at Evesham Library.
EDPA: The scheduled meeting of the Evesham and District Pensioners on Tuesday has been postponed to Friday, March 12, Wallace House, 2pm when the speaker will be Mr Peter Luff MP for Evesham. New and old members welcome.
