At the February 9 meeting attention was drawn to items in the county new sheet, including auditions on February 28 at WI House for the Old Tyme Variety Playhouse, to take place in June at the Rose Theatre, Kidderminster.
Wolverley won a prize in the supporters club draw. Moya Jones has enrolled for the lace craft course in March.
Jan Hodgson, of the home economics committee, told of plans to enter items in the May spring rally at the Ramada Hotel, Bewdley.
A coach outing to the Royal Horticultural Society flower show at Tatton Park on Thursday, July 22, is being organised.
The speaker, Dr Jan Adams, concluded her talk on "Sailing the Dream", and Sue Mantom won the competition.
The next meeting is on Monday at 7.30pm in Wolverley Memorial Hall, when members of the home economics group will demonstrate their skills in crafts and cookery. Visitors will be welcome.
