A MAN was left in shock after being fired at with a catapult by a group of men he saw walking on his car.

The victim and his wife were in Station Road, Harvington, when he spotted the three men at around 9pm on Saturday.

The group ran down towards Bidford Road when one of them stopped and fired the catapult, hitting the man on the arm and chest. It is not known what hit the man but he did not require hospital treatment but was shocked by the attack.

The men were described as being aged between 18 to 20 with one markedly taller than the other two - one was wearing a dark top and another was dressed in a white top.

Three youths were later seen getting into a white Ford Fiesta near Harvington Village Hall but it remains unclear whether the two incidents are connected.

Police spokesman Richard Bull said: "We would like to hear from the driver and passengers of the Ford Fiesta, if only to eliminate them from our enquiries."

Anyone with further information about the incident should contact Evesham police on 08457 444888.
