WITH the 60th anniversary of D-Day approaching this association is trying to contact as many ex-members as possible to recount their memories before they are forgotten.
The Pioneer Corps landed more personnel on that day than any other regiment or corps, some 6,700. In two days we had landed 12,000 men and this was later increased to 63,000.
