WE are being treated to yet another large council tax increase.
During the four-week period, January 15 until February 5, the jobs section in the Shuttle/Times and News has featured a range of vacancies with salaries totalling over £800,000.
Over half of these were with Worcestershire County Council, the remainder being split between Wyre Forest District Council and West Mercia Police.
With the addition of expenses and inflation-proof pension contributions, this adds up to over £1 million expenditure.
This was only over a four-week period. The previous 48 weeks were not checked, but the next 52 will be.
The people who authorise this expense should go - we cannot afford them.
