MOTORSPORT: Three Kidderminster Motor Car Club crews will be out this weekend at the Malcolm Wilson Rally in the Lake District.
Simon Hawthorn and Martin Jones are in a Mark 2 Escort, while 2003 Peugeot 205 1.9 Scholarship winner Matt Barker is to defend his title.
John Pardoe and Stuart Bethell compete for the first time this year in the MDS-backed Peugeot 205 1.4 GTI.
Pardoe last did the rally's morning stages in heavy blizzards so he will be hoping there is no repeat of those conditions.
West Midlands Motorsport, based in Dixon Street, Kidderminster, has prepared all three cars.
The 2004 Malcolm Wilson Rally is in its 29th year and runs from a base at M-Sport just outside Cockermouth in Cumbria.
It is the second round of the BTRDA-organised Dunlop Gold Star Rally Championship and incorporates a range of different classes.
There will also be points available for various other competitions as well.
