ATHLETICS: Claire Blakeway was the highest placed Kidderminster and Stourport club member in the fifth and final round of the West Midlands Young Athletes Cross Country League.
Blakeway achieved fifth place in the U-11s girls event at Perry Barr, run over a one-mile course and contested by 70 athletes.
The highest placed boy was Adam Roberts who came eighth in the U-13s event.
In all there, were 12 juniors from the club competing in six categories.
The U-13s boys and girls ran a 1.5-mile course, while the U-15s and U-17s girls' event were over two miles.
Results, U-11s girls: 5th Blakeway; U-11s boys: 11th Craig Baldwin, 17th Robert George; U-13s girls: 16th Laura Baldwin, 55th Caroline Park, 75th Chantelle Reah; U-13s boys: 8th Adam Roberts, 10th Tom Sparkes, 55th Ian Williams; U-15s girls: 33rd Ellie Laverty, 55th Rebecca Baldwin; U-17s girls: 22nd Laura Easton.
