SIMON Callow, considered one of Britain's greatest acting talents, shows his arrogant and manipulative side in his latest play, The Holy Terror.

In the satirical drama Callow plays Mark Melon, the reigning king of the publishing jungle. It is tough at the top but this supremo will let nothing and no-one stand in the way of a good story or lucrative book rights.

Melon's inevitable fall from grace is one of majestic proportions, spurred on when evil inner demons take hold of him.

Described as a 'masterclass of psychological battles', The Holy Terror promises to take audiences on a passionate and absorbing journey of modern morality.

The production is the work of award-winning director Laurence Boswell and celebrated playwright Simon Gray. Boswell's previous successes include A Day in the Death of Joe Egg and This is Our Youth while Gray is best known for Quartermaine's Terms and A Common Pursuit.

This particular collaboration between the pair is said to shine with intelligent humour and heartrending poignancy - 'a landmark in British theatre'.

The Holy Terror will be at the Festival Theatre, Malvern from Monday, March 8 to Saturday, March 13. For further information or to book tickets, contact the box office on 01684 892277.
