BUSINESSWOMEN will be trying to "beat the clock" when they meet for a networking session.

Called BUSI networking, the system gives everyone three minutes to talk about their business before moving on to the next person. It is being utilised by the Evesham Women in Business Club to speed up their networking.

The idea is based on the dating trend sweeping the country called speed dating, where everyone has three minutes to impress a potential partner before moving on to the next person.

"Last year's BUSI networking session, held at St Richard's Hospice, Worcester, worked extremely well," said Tricia Cavell, one of the organisers.

"There were lots of good contacts made and we hope to repeat the success. After the BUSI networking, there will be an opportunity to network with those people that interest you or have synergy with your business, so don't forget to bring your business cards!"

The meeting is due to take place on Wednesday, March 31, at the Vale Golf Club, Bishampton, near Pershore, starting at 7.30pm.

A charge of £5 a person covers the room hire.
