CHARLES Crow, labourer, of Redditch, was brought up in custody charged with being drunk and disorderly at Studley on February 19th.
He pleaded guilty.
Pc Saunders stated that at 11.15pm on the night in question, he saw Crow in Redditch Road, Studley.
He was in a drunken condition, using bad language, and was noisy. Witness and Sergeant Grubb were together and prisoner asked to be locked up as he was too late to get into his lodgings.
They advised him to go away but later in the night he came to them again and wanted to be locked up. Witness watched him and directly afterwards Crow picked up a stone and deliberately threw it through a window of the Bell Hotel.
Prisoner said he was very sorry indeed and if the bench would give him another chance, he would give up the drink altogether.
Superintendent Lambourne said there were 65 previous convictions against prisoner.
Crow was fined £1 and 6s costs but in default of payment went to Warwick for a month, with hard labour.
