A REDDITCH teenager could become the next Kate Moss after beating more than 4,000 aspiring models in a national competition.

Sarah Meade, 14, will appear on the cover of the May issue of teen magazine Sugar after winning the national Sugar Rimmel London Model Competition 2004.

Readers registered votes by phone or text message, choosing their favourite model from a shortlist of six.

The Trinity High School student was spotted at the Redditch heat when the Sugar Rimmel London Model Competition held a roadshow in the Kingfisher Centre.

Sarah wins an all-expenses paid fashion shoot in the USA and £500 spending money.

She also has the chance of being offered a contract with top agency Storm Model Management.

Sarah said: "It's like a dream come true. I couldn't believe it when I heard I had won, I never believed I would get this far."

She added: "I'd like to thank my mum and dad, to everyone who voted for me, especially people in Redditch, and to my best friend Kayleigh Blackford who has been a true friend through it all.

"Thanks too to Sugar and everyone involved in the competition, all the make-up artists and stylists on the photo shoots made us feel really welcome, and to all the girls who took part - we are all winners at the end of the day and it was nice to meet them."
