FENCER Chris Taylor received a standing ovation after two top performances in one weekend.
Chris, of Bromsgrove School, won the U16s boy's Epee national finals at the British Youth Championships at Fenton Manor, Stoke, on Saturday, February 7.
The 15-year-old travelled to Bracknell 24 hours later for the Slough Open where he finished in the top 32 of the 147-strong senior men's Epee competition.
Chris got his ovation during an assembly at the Worcester Road school on Saturday, February 21.
