CAMERAS are there to save lives. But Britain's top policeman does not approve of speed-check cameras being used to raise cash.
Doesn't he know what the cameras are for? They are to slow down the motorised idiots.
I believe the problem is that the fines are far too low. Drivers caught over the maximum speed limit should pay £1,000 or several weeks' wages.
Pocket money fines of £60 are an insult to the intelligence.
