STOURPORT Swifts will have a second crack at claiming the scalp of First Division Stoke City tonight in their Staffordshire Senior Cup quarter-final replay.

The sides go head-to-head at Walshes Meadow following their 2-2 draw three weeks ago.

Swifts boss Dave Titterton is set to give Craig Harris and John Hayward a run out while 16-year-old youth player John Griffin will also feature.

Defender Jay Powell (ankle) is unlikely to be risked but Steve Ulfig should be back after falling ill at the weekend.

Richard Ball, back at Swifts follow an ill-fated month at Halesowen Town, is not eligible after not re-signing in time, nor is Swifts' other recent signing Bryan Small.

While halting the slide in their poor league form is important, Titterton is also committed to tonight's competition, though it could an even tougher test than the first match.

"The league is important but so is tonight," said Titterton. "If we win we're in the semi-finals and in with a great opportunity to get a cup this season," he said.

"I really don't know what kind of side they will be sending but I gather it will be a slightly different team with a few more reserve team players involved who obviously have got a lot of first team experience."
