MALVERN Town destroyed Ettingshall during a seven-goal second-half blitz last night.

Neil Hunt's side were just one up at the interval but stormed to a 8-0 win at the Langland Stadium to cement their place, five points clear, at the top of the West Midlands Premier Division.

After a fairly lacklustre first half which saw Gordy Beauchamp convert Phil Preedy's cross in the 24th minute, Malvern went goal crazy during the second period once Preedy had headed home a Lee Hooper cross immediatly after the restart.

Preedy then set up Des Cox for Town's second on 50 minutes before Nathan Jukes drove the ball home for Malvern's fourth on the hour mark.

After 64 minutes Rik Halion headed home Hooper's corner and then Cox and Jukes combined superbly in the 71st minute, to see the latter register Town's sixth strike of the night.

With the fit again Dean Roberts rounding the 'keeper to slot home in the 79th minute, Malvern still continued to press.

Cox finished off a good night's work for Town with a well-taken goal right on 90 minutes.
