A BROMSGROVE company is helping to keep workers on North Sea rigs safe.
Beko Technologies, in Buntsford Park Road, has supplied a Drypoint M membrane dryer system to Shell UK's oil and gas platform to help ensure the performance of its sub-sea safety isolation valve.
Located 175 metres from the platform in 141 metres of water, the sub-sea isolation valve controls the gas supply to the rig and cuts it off when safety reasons demand.
Because the Drypoint M dryer does not need electricity it is suitable for hazardous areas such as an oil rig.
