Council tax bills were due to be confirmed for Worcester households tonight when the city council approves its budget.
The authority's cabinet has proposed a 2.5 per cent increase in its tax demand.
If councillors agree to the rise, the overall bill will rise by 7.79 per cent leaving Band D homes, which are deemed the average property price, facing a bill of £1,156.58.
Changes to fees levied by the council - ranging from charges for fishing permits to burials - will also be ratified by councillors.
