A FORMER Playboy model is hoping customers "hop" on down to her specialist bunny shop in Worcester.

Bunnyland opened on Saturday, January 23, amid a rabbit extravaganza with girls dressed in bunny outfits.

Annette Edwards said she opened the store, in London Road, because she had always loved rabbits.

The mother of 10 was originally ordered to stop running her commercial enterprise of breeding the animals from her house in Stoulton, near Pershore, in October 2003 because she did not have the necessary planning permission.

But this was a minor set-back and did not stop the ex-model, who caused a frenzy in 1998 when she posed naked with her 20-year-old daughter Jody in the men's magazine, from fulfilling her ambition.

"It will be a specialist bunny store selling everything to do with them, like hutches and food, as well as offering after-care service to help owners take proper care of their pets.

"But we will also be selling guinea pigs, chinchillas and parrots, as well as pet accessories."

Mrs Edwards added that she could see many more Bunnyland-type shops opening.

"We have already got someone from the States interested in doing one over there."
