A NEW business not yet open in a county village has already been blamed for engine revving noises heard in the area.
Broadheath Parish Council recently agreed to write to the Malvern Hills enforcement officer after receiving complaints about noisy "speed racing", thought to come from Temple Laugherne Motorsport (TLM) in Lower Broadheath.
But one of the partners in the business is adamant that the noise has nothing to do with them and could have been the sound of boy racers speeding through the village.
Justin Ranson, who will run TLM with his brother, Anthony Davidson, said they did not have any machinery at Temple Laugherne capable of making substantial noise.
"We have agricultural equipment to maintain the grounds, but no loud engine noise has come from this property," he said.
Earth moving equipment has been on site since August, putting in foundations and preparing the site for opening TLM in February.
"We aim to be a centre of excellence for car tuning, using top quality branded products and first class technicians," said Mr Ranson.
"We want to build a business of merit to the local area, somewhere people can be proud of, where customer service comes first.
"There will definitely not be any speed racing at Temple Laugherne."
