A new six-week "learn to snorkel" course, aimed at eight to 12-year-olds, has been introduced this year.
The course consists of pool training for one hour on Sunday afternoons, from 3.45pm until 4.45pm, and is designed to demonstrate the safe use of snorkel equipment, how to obtain correct bouyancy, and build confidence in the water.
A certificate will be awarded to everyone on completion of the course and with further training the students can go on to obtain an international qualification.
The snorkel course is the ideal warm-up before undertaking the Scuba course, which has a minimum age of 12.
An adult snorkel course may also be run. Places on the courses will be limited. For further information, or to secure a place on a course, telephone John Carmichael on 01562 753637 weekdays between 9am and 6pm.
