SPECIAL OLYMPICS: Worcestershire's Debbie Allen-Trew and Claire Andrews have been picked to play for Great Britain at a major football tournament.
The Kidderminster women will head to Luxembourg in May for the seven-a-side European competition.
Worcestershire Special Olympics handed out awards at their annual presentation evening on Saturday to Wyre Forest people.
Winners: Andrews (footballer of the year and runner-up female club champion); D Allen-Trew (Bromsgrove Sports award); Caroline Allen-Trew (joint female swimmer of the year); Steven Boyce (Caroline Allen-Trew award for swimming and most improved footballer of the year); Freddie Lowe (Michael Berrow award for effort); Jon Fox (certificate for 10 years' membership); Martin Jones (club's trainers' award); Matthew Jones (most improved trainee award).
The first competition of the new year will be the Thames Valley Indoor Athletics at Windsor on February 15.
