WORCESTER City's football secretary Steve Bond has stepped down from duties after more than 10 years in the post.

St George's Lane chairman Dave Boddy paid tribute to Bond, rating him the best he's worked with.

Bond has resigned due to increased constraints on his time after starting a new job.

"In my time in football, Steve's been the best and most efficient club secretary I've worked with," said Boddy.

"It's an incredibly demanding role and he's fulfilled it brilliantly. We wish him all the best."

The club expect to make an internal appointment to replace Bond in the next seven days.

Meanwhile Worcester have rearranged their postponed home Dr Martens Premier Division clash with Crawley Town for Monday, February 23.

It has been switched from January 26 due to Crawley's county cup commitments.

They are still waiting to fix up their trip to leaders Weymouth, who are involved in the FA Trophy on the original date of January 31.

City are without a game on Saturday but entertain Moor Green in the Dr Martens Cup next Monday.
