DEAR EDITOR -- For almost 13 years my wife and I have been walking our dog almost every day in Droitwich Lido Park/St Peters Fields,(we do clear up),
For most of the time weather permitting it has been an enjoyable form of exercise for us all, and over the years we have made many friends,
But of late this experience has been marred by the 'mindless morons of the night' especially at weekends, and their latest craze of smashing bottles all over the paths etc making it extremely dangerous for children, animals, wildlife, in fact anyone to walk
It's been bad enough to put up with the vandalism, graffiti fast-food litter strewn about and carefully tended flower beds vandalised and expensive plants ripped out and strewn about. The one park keeper tries his best but is unable to keep up with the antics of these louts. It is a thankless task.
My question is when will some action be taken by either the council or police after all we do pay a hefty amount each month in council tax, to protect our inheritance from these morons (I can think of no better description for them) or must we continue to accept that the park is rapidly becoming a no-go area?
