BANK of Scotland Business Banking has strengthened its local team with the appointment of Ken Bate as new business director for Hereford and Worcester.
A motorcycle enthusiast, Mr Bate, aged 42, from Malvern, has 25 years corporate banking experience.
Lending millions
He has worked with small and medium-sized businesses in the midlands, and joins Bank of Scotland from Barclays.
In the past 12 months, the Worcester office of Bank of Scotland, in St Swithin's Street, has lent millions of pounds to local businesses, including manufacturers, insurance brokers, solicitors, accountants and property developers. Business plans have included expansions, acquisitions and management buy-outs.
Mr Turner's expertise is in helping small to medium sized enterprises explore their potential.
"Small and medium sized companies are crucial to the economy of the region and if they are to prosper they require easy access to the best financial advice and products in the marketplace.
"Bank of Scotland Business Banking recognises that every business is unique and has unique needs and our offering reflects this."
