AUTOMOTIVE repair specialists, ChipsAway International, based on Hoo Farm Industrial Estate, Kidderminster, has launched an operation in Greece.

Managing director Steve Bignall said there was high demand for automotive repairs in Greece. The firm, established in 1994, already has a number of international operations, including a "highly successful" business in Spain.

n BUSINESSES using cereals and oilseeds in the manufacture of food or other products have until the end of the month to apply for cash up to £50,000.

The latest round of Enterprise Awards, run by the Home Grown Cereals Authority is due to close on Wednesday, December 31.

Companies looking for funding to develop or market grain products could be eligible for grants of up to £50,000.

n VICTORIA Carpets in Kidderminster has recorded excellent figures with profits up by more than 70 per cent.

The company's results for the six months to September 27 showed the group continued to enjoy strong growth with turnover increasing by 34 per cent from £18.95m to £25.48m.

Operating profits increased 73 per cent from £1.42m to £2.45m and pre-tax profits rose by 72 per cent to £2.22m.

Earnings per share were 22.08 pence, up by 71 per cent.

n PUB company InnSpired has announced the appointment of its youngest-ever business development manager.

Worcester-based Jamie Paterson, aged 28, joins InnSpired to manage the company's tenanted properties in Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and the West Midlands, amounting to about 60 pubs.
