SHOPS and shoppers will get a boost from Droitwich's new town centre officer.
Jill Campbell will be working to promote the town as a thriving centre for shoppers, residents and visitors.
She takes over from Wychavon District Council's town centres manager Lew Hammond, who will focus his efforts on Evesham.
Although Jill's office is at the Civic Centre in Pershore, she plans to be out in the town as much as possible.
"I attended the Christmas lights switch on by celebrity Ruth Madoc in the town last Friday," she said.
"The town should be proud for organising such an event. It was a really great start to Christmas.
"In the New Year I am looking forward to supporting a number of exciting projects including the third Brine Heritage site in Gurney's Lane."
