CARDIFF City manager Lennie Lawrence could move to sign Hereford United's Wales semi-professional international midfielder Paul Parry next week.
Parry recently spent a week training at Ninian Park and played in the reserves' friendly at Derby.
"Cardiff are genuinely interested," said Hereford boss Graham Turner, who is believed to want £100,000 for the player.
The 23-year-old midfielder is out of contract at the end of this season.
Turner said: "We would not stand in his way to better himself in a deal we were happy with."
