NEW council tax proposals are being drawn up after the government granted more money to Worcestershire County Council.
The council was originally seeking an increase in Council Tax of up to seven per cent.
However, the government's announcement of more money for councils has translated into £4.57 million for Worcestershire.
The council's cabinet will today (Friday) be asked to approve a suggested tax increase of 5.3 per cent.
If approved this will go out to public consultation ahead of the formal council tax setting in February.
