WHILE reading the Malvern Gazette on December 12, I was delighted to see an old photograph of my son playing football for Newtown Sports. It is always a great pleasure to see one of your children in the paper.

However, my pleasure turned to disbelief and anger as I read Mr Dawe's letter, which accompanied the photograph.

Who are these people to tell parents and grandparents they are not allowed to take photographs? Who elects these people into these positions? Are the parents of the club ever notified?

It appears to me that people should make a stand and kick the PC brigade into touch. The PC brigade does more harm than good and only serve to pervert and distort our views and values on life.

It is the PC brigade that tells us we cannot take photographs of our children while in a play. They have also introduced us to non-competitive sports where there are no winners or losers. What sort of attitude are they trying to teach our children?

I would recommend to the parents and grandparents of Newtown Sports to take your cameras to the next game and if that fails, pull your children out of Newtown Sports and take them to a football club run by common sense and not the PC brigade.
