NINE-year-old Banaeshia Tooley's picture of a colourfully dressed snowman has taken first prize in a Christmas card competition.
The competition was open to junior-age children at Bredon School and was sponsored by John and Jacqueline Collins, owners of Hanley Castle-based Cherry Orchard Publishing, whose son William is in Year 5.
Entries were judged by textiles and art teacher Madeleine Henton. Banaeshia won an art set and runners-up Callum Gower and Harriet Spiers won gift vouchers.
The winning card has been printed and sold to raise money for new playground equipment for junior children at the independent school and for the Acorns Hospice Trust.
