AN art exhibition to remind people of the true meaning of Christmas is taking place at Worcester Cathedral.
Madonna and Child, by Paul Langford, from Tenbury Wells, opened on Saturday and is a collection of paintings featuring a young Jesus with his mother.
Mr Langford said: "The relationship between Mary, mother of Christ, and Jesus, her son, has always held a fascination for me since childhood. Considering Jesus lived at home for nearly 30 years, hardly any depiction is made of the very human condition of mother and child.
"Through a series of images, some photographic, others painted in oil or acrylic, I hope to raise the viewers awareness of this incredible relationship at an appropriate time of year."
The exhibition runs until December 29.
