HAZEL Berry phoned the Gazette after seeing a picture from Ralph Spencer's book, Mathon People from 1900, in Malvern Memories on October 3.
She recognised herself in the picture of the tea party at Mathon Court, sitting on the left of the table, third from the camera. Her mother, Beatrice Fitzer, is also in the picture, leaning in from the right to put a plate of food on the table.
Mrs Berry does not remember the exact occasion but it could have been something to do with the Guides or Brownies. It probably took place in the mid-1940s and could also have been an event to celebrate the end of the Second World War.
